Leash Law Reminder for Tredegar Residents

Keeping Our Neighborhood Safe and Enjoyable for All

This is a friendly reminder to all Tredegar residents about our leash law for dogs.

Following the Forsyth County Code:

The Tredegar neighborhood adheres to Section 6-13 of the Forsyth County Code of Ordinances which states:

(a) Unlawful conduct. It shall be unlawful for any person owning or having possession, charge, custody or control of an animal to allow that animal to run at large.

In simpler terms, all dogs must be on a leash or securely contained within your property whenever they are outdoors.

Benefits of Leash Laws:

  • Safety: Leashes help prevent dog bites and ensure the safety of both pets and people.
  • Courtesy: Leashes help maintain a sense of order and respect for all residents who may not be comfortable around unleashed dogs.
  • Exercise and Control: Leashes allow you to maintain control of your dog and provide them with a safe and controlled space for exercise.

Working Together:

By following the leash law, we can create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone in the Tredegar neighborhood.

Thank you for your cooperation!
